WORLD SPARROW DAY 20th March 2013

On the occasion of World Sparrow Day 20th March 2013, held at K'sirs International School, Chinnavedampatti, Coimbatore students from the school with encouragement and guidance from the NGO-Young Indians has adopted Chinnavedampatti village under "Adopt a Sparrow Village Project" with the scientific support from S álim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON). Objectives of the programme is to educate and lead the school children to play a major role in House Sparrow conservation distributing mud bowls and nest materials to residents in the village by putting up of the first Sparrow Unit at "Chinnavedampatti Village". The students of K'sirs International will regularly monitor and encourage the villagers in the conservation efforts of House Sparrow.
